German immigrants Hilda and Berthold Reich, Sigmund and Mathilda Rohrbach, and Justin and Alma Zimmerman founded Joann Fabrics in 1943 as the Cleveland Fabric Shop. The store was originally located in Cleveland, Ohio.
82 years later …..

***Fabric giant Joann is going out of business and closing all of its 800 stores.
*Definitely one of my favorite stores since I first stepped in during  a field trip we did during my high school days sewing class. So many projects so many ideas, so many before and afters, I hope a new chain of fabric stores will open soon.
For 82 years, so many creative designers like myself were able to bring our ideas to life after visiting @joann_stores
